DO PARIS TAXIS HAVE CAR SEATS?

Usually not. Regular Paris taxis and ride-hailing apps rarely carry a car seat, and you can't request one when you hail a cab or book on an app. Many parents end up holding their baby on their lap, carrying a heavy child seat through the airport, or waiting in line for a car that may not suit a family.

THE RIGHT SEAT FOR EVERY AGE

We carry approved seats for children from newborn to 12 years. Each one is cleaned between rides.

- Infant car seat (Group 0+): a rear-facing baby carrier for newborns and babies up to around 13 kg. Perfect for your first trip home or your first holiday with a little one.
- Toddler car seat (Group 1): a harnessed child seat for toddlers from around 9 to 18 kg.
- Booster seat (Groups 2 and 3): a high-back booster for older children from around 15 to 36 kg, up to 12 years old.

Travelling with several children? We fit up to 4 seats in the same vehicle, so the whole family travels together.

Safety first
A properly fitted car seat is the safest way for a baby or young child to travel by car. Paris traffic, ring roads and airport motorways are no place for a child on a parent's lap.

Travel light
Leave the bulky car seat at home. Your luggage allowance is better used for the stroller (or pushchair), the travel cot and the nappy bag.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is the car seat really free?
Yes. Child seats are always included in your fixed price, whatever the number of children.

Can I bring my own car seat instead?
Of course. Just let us know when you book, and your driver will help you install it.

Can I book a taxi with an infant car seat for a newborn?
Yes. Our rear-facing infant carriers are suitable from birth. They're ideal for a ride home from the maternity hospital or for your baby's first trip abroad.

Is there an Uber with a car seat in Paris?
Ride-hailing apps in Paris don't currently let you request a car seat when you book. With Baby-Cabs, you choose the seat in advance and it's fitted before pickup.

Will the stroller or pushchair fit?
Yes. All our vehicles carry a folded stroller along with your luggage. For large prams or several pushchairs, choose a 7- or 8-seat van.

How do I know which seat my child needs?
